Hi all:

I'm usually over in the Z3 forum, but I am looking at a 6 car. Has anyone here replaced quarters on a 6 on there 6? I've done it on a lot of other cars, and my welding skills are sound. I'm not worried about cutting and welding as much as I am about availability or good clean replacements.

The car I'm looking at is an 89 read and tan car, and the price is right. It's going to need a lot of love, but for the moment, I want to know of I can get decent quarters. Has anyone in here done this? Thanks.

Cliff

I have done the right rear, from about mid license plate to fuel door, so not a complete quarter. It wasn't bad at all.

I had the donor car already, but think you shouldn't have any trouble finding parts.

If the quarters are rusty, and that is why you are replacing them, I would be leery of the rest of the car.

No rust. The car is rust free. I was in an accident that happened to get both rear quarters.

Cool. That why I had to do mine.

The cars are old enough that I see lots of "parts" cars out there.

Don't know. I would put a feeler out on Roadfly, and check the ads.

I sold a pair of brand new OEM's for a palty 700 not long ago... Sometimes I hate ebay!
