does anyone know what type of suspension bmw used on these cars for their factory racing cars like the touring cars ? and is it street legal?

I dont know the exact setup.. But you can look at Ground control.com , turnermotorsports they have street legal set-ups and non street legal set-ups. I will search and try to get back to you soon.

yeah im really only looking for the exact set up or pretty damn close to it i know it would be pricey to attain but i really want to be able to say i have the same suspension as the e30 m3 touring cars

You can check out a forum called s14.net. There all e30 guys so..Im sure they will be able to answer your ?.

they ran a coil over/fully adjustable suspension. i mean FULLY adjustable. roll centers, trailing arms, etc. You can get a set of grp. a struts ect front/rear on ocassion for about 3-4k$. To do the whole suspension, you'd be into it 20 or 30k i'd guess. The car would still be streetable, but it would be a harsh ride. I run some of the setup out of a grp. G car, which is not full touring car spec, but it will out handle most cars. If you have the money to drop, contact Markus on s14.net and he could likely source you all the "real stuff", but i doub't you'll want to spend that kind of money. If you have to ask how much it costs, not saying that you did, but you can't afford it.
