I left some birdy poo on my hood for a couple days... I know I should have gotten it off right away :rolleyes . I washed with Meguiars and it took the poop but left the stains... any ideas on how to remove them? Ive since been told that the birds here must eat toxic berries :shifty .
I was considering just using Dawn to strip off everything, then just rewax. Is this an ok move? What are my options!?
TIA!

Do you have AIO...if you do try it on that patch...If that doesn't work try rubbing it out with Scratch X. If that doesn't work you'll probably need a PC

I also heard people get good results with Scratch X, followed by a polish and then wax coat.
I've had good results with the following easy to obtain products, used as a first step- Zymol polish, Meguiar's Deep Crystal polish. Then followed up with a coat of wax.
Hopefully the poop hasn't eaten thru or heavily etched the clearcoat. If it has then only a PC or color sanding may be able to get rid of it.
Good luck

You definately arent going to get that out by hand, its probably going to need to be wetsanded. Find someone who can wetsand, I wouldn't waste my time with "Scratch-X" or any of the rubbing compounds out there.

About a week ago a member got out the etchings of bird shit on his car with Scratch-X. It definately doesn't need to be wetsanded.

thanks a lot! im going to find some scratch-x and try that out. its more than one spot on the hood, plus some spatter marks.
awahl, your audi sig pic looks soooo good. what did you do for that? does it work on black?
also an extra question: i usually wash my car on the weekend, but it can get pretty dirty during the week. is there a spray qd or something that is recommended? with my luck this is prob covered in a sticky that i never saw..

Umm you can use a waterless wash type product like poorboys spray and wipe. It's like a QD on steroids. I don't QD my car if it gets dusty (and it gets dusty fast) because of the chance of marring or micromarring the finish. I'll just let it go a couple days and then wash it.
Thanks for compliment on the sig. I have some AIO, SGX3 and a couple coats of Butter Wet-Wax.
Also, if your out looking for over the counter products search for Duragloss Aquawax. It's a spray sealant that gives great protection for a spray product and a very slick wet surface. Hope all this helps...

The key with using scratchX is to apply liberally to a small section, between 12"x12" and no bigger then 24"x24". Then take a foam applicator pad, and work the product aggresively agaist the surface using a straight line pattern, working your way back and forth over the surface. When the product begins to gum up, wipe it off with a microfiber. It may take 3-5 passes this way to the get the results you desired...
When your satisfied, make sure you protect the area with a sealent/wax.
