Ok for some reason my last thread is not viewable, i get some crazy error when i click on it...

so i'm looking for a place to take the wife out on her birthday in the inner harbor.
looking for less then 120 for two people no wine...
we do not do seafood and she doesn't do steak.

take her to aquarium and buy her hot dogs

i only know of seafood places in downtown, though there's this one place i've been too, i forgot what it 's called or how to get there, but it wasn't like in downtown downtown, it was on the other side, but still on the bay.

go to mezze or pazo. www.kalismezze.com
google pazo, that is a fun place.

other reccomendations:

1) The Bicycle (my current fav....www.bicyclebistro.com i think)
2)Aldo (Italian in little italy)
3) Roy's (hawaiian/asian fusion)
4) The Helmand (excellent Afghan food, VERY cheap!..best deal in city next to samos)
5) Bocaccio (Italian)
6) Charleston is the best restaura nt in town but a little out of your price range...
7) Corks (really good wine place)

That's off the top of my head...let me know if you want any more info about any of these

I would check out this place called Salt...it's brand new, small, good food, and reasonable prices...you can get a really nice meal for 100 bux or less there...I would also look into the Wine Market in Locust Point...really good well done spot a little more of the beaten path, plus when you are done you can walk along the water by Key hwy...also a really nice meal for 100 bux or less...

I think we've actually been to pazo, it was great...
i'm gonna look up the charleston to see whats up, it can't be that expensive, 120 for two people is a lot of money! I can go to morton's in georgetown for that much!

ps, i'm not cheap, but my wife is and i know she won't enjoy herself if it's too expensive, how freaking sad is that, she'll yack on and on about how we should be saving the money for a new kitchen... it's like stfub and eat your 35 dollar chicken.

i think little italys your best bet. Sabatino's is really nice, i'd highly recommend it.
and if you change your mind about the seafood, the Rusty Scupper is amazing, and has a huge water front view of the harbour.

then of course Tio Pepe's is legendary in baltimore. Food is the best ive had, but if its on a friday or saturday night, reservations are hard to come by. But its probably the best out of all the places i've eaten.

both of us have a huge distain for seafood, usually we have to tell people we are allergic so they don't cook our food with fish stuff around.

Tio Pepe's, i'll have to look into it, her birthday is a wed. night and thats when we will go, we have a wedding at the jersey shore next weekend... anyone ever been to congress hall?

Italian food, I'd recommend " Ammici's" in Little Italy. Nice atmosphere, very casual, good food.
After dinner a short walk and you're at Vaccarro's for cannolis.

what can I say, the meow knows his shit :)

I will try out abacrombie..

And last time I was at Charleston, the bill was around $400 for 2 w/ wine...so yeah it's THAT expensive....and honestly not worth it IMO

Tio Pepe is the shit also..but it is crowded.

We are going to bicycle again tonight :D

my wife might try the sangria, i however don't drink alcohol that is not distilled as it makes me very sick, which is why we don't usually do wine, she'll get a glass here and there but we don't buy 120 bottles with dinner!

I'm thinking the charleston is out, i'd probably enjoy it, but the wifey wouldn't and it's her b-day... if we're gonna spend that kinda money we'll go to morton's in georgetown.

i'm gonna call tio pepe's on saturday to try and get reservations for wed. otherwise maybe that abacrombie place

nah sangria there aint 120, its not too expensive, they make it with nice fruit and all, its one of the most delicious things ive ever drank. and then their steak was unbelievable too. i would expect for 2 ppl around a 100-120 bill depending on your tastes

one thing to note then...is bicycle only serves wine and beer...no liqour....the other night with no drinks I think we spent about $90. excellent food, but the seafood is really great, so it may not be at the top of your list.
