Okay guys (and gals if any are out there), this the BIG/HUGE weekend for car enthusiasts when University at Midway is absolutely nuts with hot rodders from all around the Midwest. This isn't just hot rodders though, anyone who's familiar with the event knows all kinds of tricked/sick cars are cruising University and for that matter Snelling at the fairgrounds where the event is actually held. People literally come from all over and camp out there.
Here's the thing, if we want to have a parking lot, and we've pegged out the China Restuarant on University (south side) and 1 block from Snelling Ave., we've got to get there early so we can face the street. Here's a few things to keep in mind:
1. Lets get a list going now
2. Got to get there early - like 7:30 PM at the latest - last weekend we had
a hot rodder pull in and I figured he was checking the joint out and we're
likely to have competition for space
3. Got to keep the owner of the joint happy by buying some food
If you're serious sign up. I'm going to put this on a few other forums. If we don't get a good number of people there we're likely to not be able to park together because if it's like any other time, all spaces will fill up - this has been huge.
