I have two 71 Tii's that I must get rid of due to a family emergency that requires immediate funds. One of the cars is a complete Malaga Tii , no sunroof, in fair condition. The car ran as of a couple of years ago, but had a bad water pump. It was never a daily driver for me, so whatever else is going on with the motor is anyone's guess. The car was bought as a parts car. The other TII is the clincher. This is a body that has been COMPLETELY restored proffessionally. All rust was dealt with correctly and thoroughly. The spare tire well was replaced, and the rear of the rocker panels had the rusted sections removed and replaced. This IS a sunroof body. the car was COMPLETELY DISMANTLED for painting, and although it is not a stock color, it was painted in the GM "Seafoam mist", and is strikingly beautiful. The belt line moldings and drip cap moldings are new, as are door seals, logos, window seals, etc. The interior, black, has been completely done by Jack's auto upholstery in Reseda CA, and is far and above the FINEST interior I have EVER seen in a 2002. Jack has been around since the fifties, and REALLY went out of his way to do a dynamite interior. It includes carpets, headliner, and a one piece dash, uncracked. The front seats are Recaros, that were re-upholstered to match. I am NOT overselling this interior, it is absolutely the BEST I have ever seen. This car has no motor, and the lights, bumpers, etc were to be robbed from the Malaga car. What this car DOES have is a reconditioned limited slip diff, and a complete performance suspension, front to rear, done by Jack Fahuna, brand new. All bushings, sway bars, ball joints, ends, etc are new. The Calipers and rotors are new as well, with braided lines.

I need to move these out of storage and convert them to cash. NOW. They are in storage in Tehachapi, (about thirty miles south of Bakersfield, on the 58). Personally, if I was reading this, and had the money. I would be drooling over the prospect of turning this car into a dual carb car. If anyone has a good running car with a bad body and interior, heres a chance to save a TREMENDOUS amount of money. I have over six grand in JUST the bodywork and paint, and that is before suspension and interior.

Anyway, time is of the essence. I have a fifth wheel trailer that I am selling, and a couple of other items. If they sell before the Tii's, as I hope they will, than it will may be necessary to sell the BMWs. Fingers crossed. Cell number is 818 674-3512. BTW, if the Malaga car goes, Fahuna pockets $700.00, because we bought the car together a few years ago. If you want details about the suspension, give Jack a call.

I think I missed the price somewhere in there?

I haven't a clue what the traffic will bear. Got something in mind?

It's funny to see adds that really need to sell but have no price or pics. You can't expect us to even begin to make you an offer on something we can't see.

Of course I do not expect you to. Read the ad, this is not something that I PLANNED on doing, nor do I WANT to do it. If someone expresses a sincere interest, I will take it further, but the situation and time constraints do not allow me to chase this thing just to satisfy someone's half hearted curiosity. If you have a sincere desire to know more, than give me a call and I will discuss it with you, if not, please don't waste my time.

Thanks, I think that clears it up. If you haid said that in the first post that was long, we all probably wouldn't be guessing by now. Most people in a hurry to sell something usually just say what they want to do and get it over, so your approach is a bit different than most people IMHO.

Good luck

Thanks for the "good luck" wishes. Right now, if my luck was good, we would not be discussing this......oh well.....

Anyway, perhaps the following email exchange will further clarify......

I cannot vouch for the engine in the Malaga car, It had a bad water pump, and leaked water like a bucket, so I never really put any miles on it. Plus, the car has been parked for quite some time now. I bought it from a gal that used it as a daily driver in Hollywood, until the water pump went out on her. She had been hit in it, rearended, the other driver was insured, so it was fixed proffessionally. That is why I bought it, because the early model bumpers had been straightened and rechromed, and the lights were factory brand new replacements. The motor was really not a concern of mine, as I intended to build a dual weber motor for the "Mist shell". As far as price goes, I would really like to get $4500 for both, but I don't know if thats feasable. God knows, I have WAAAAAAY more than that in bodywork alone, much less the interior and the suspension. If I remember right, the bill at Probmw was $4200 just for the suspension work. Jack Fahuna might remember better, or have a copy of the invoice. Anyway, as far as pics go, if anyone has a SINCERE interest, I will chase some. But I do not have time otherwise. The "emergency" is real, and needs to be addressed. It is my sincere hope I will not be ran around the bush's just to satisfy some pseudo-buyer's casual curiousity. Been there, done that, and frankly, I don't have the time, nor the energy, to pursue that end.

Maybe we think differently but if you posted a pic and a price, you would be saving yourself time from all the redundant inquires asking you for the same thing. Would you rather post it once or spend more time emailing everyone back individually.

Also I'm like a lot of people into this obsession, I don't "need" to have another car but if there was an opportunity to buy a particular car that peaked my interest, I'll buy it. I've bought my last 2 BMW's that way. I have money in the bank which can be dangerous on compulsive buys. Good news is that now I'm down to 3 cars and 2 motorcycles. :)

Spoon feeding info is good if you are the seller and want the sale. Just my $.02.

Good Luck with your sale. :)

Pictures, price and info usually come first. If someone likes what they see and the price then they make the call. You may be losing a potential sale because of your backwards tactics but its your choice. Just my 2 pennies.

Whatever. Perhaps one of you will volunteer to ignore the problems here at home I am dealing with, drive the sixty miles to the storage to take digitals, come back and get this computer to finally accept the program it takes to download my Mnolta, and then figure out the mechanics of posting those pics for me. Or maybe you can manage your OWN lives instead, eh? Sorry I am not doing this to YOUR exact expectations, but hey, nobodys perfect. If someone is INTERESTED in the cars, than I will jump through THEIR hoops, But so far all I have seen from you two is a bunch of self important BS that has NOTHING TO DO WITH a sincere intertest in further examining what I have to offer here. Thanks for your help, and your input, but I am currently doing the best I can.

My phone number is on the original post. Give me a call, it is much faster, and easier to talk than it is to type. I am going to work on getting pics togeher tomorrow. However, the posts above pretty well tell the story. I forgot to mention that both sub frames were removed and powder coated black.

Yeah, sorry, they are both 72's. Funny no one else caught the mis-type. They musta been too worried about managing my efforts. I am going to TRY to get some pics together today.

Way to come on here with a bad attitude. That should help the sale.
I was trying to be helpful since a phone call doesnt give a very good visual of a car. Sorry for trying.
Good luck with the sale.

Ok......for those of you interested in the actual cars, and what they consist of, (rather than the fast and forced presentation that circumstances demanded), heres the skinny.......

I was able to sell my 5th wheel travel trailer quite easily, which suprised me. That took the IMMEDIATE pressure off of me to sell the BMWs. However, it may, and probably will, still be necessary to sell them. But sans pressure, I can now take the time to do a more responsible presentation of the cars, including photographs. In the next couple of days I will be posting them. For those of you that contacted me by email and phone, thank you for your patience and your understanding of my needs driving my actions. For those of you that felt you needed to write a script for me, sorry I didn't learn my lines to your satisfaction. (I didn't come here with a BAD attitude, I came here with a STRESSED attitude. Someday, when you are standing in those shoes, you might wanna do a replay.)

I now have pictures of the two Tii's. If you have a sincere interest please send me your email address to m022u2@earthlink.net and I will forward the pics. Please do not bother me with idle curiousity. There are ALOT of pics. Unfortunely, due to computer limitations, I am unable to post them online. (Tyler, I already have your address, and will be forwarding you the pics)
