Sorry for asking so many questions, I just know that most of your guy's mods are wheels and suspension and that type of stuff... Do they make a brembo big brake kit, can i get rotors on the back, or do i gotta keep the drumb brakes, If so what brands, where can i find them etc etc.

TYIA!!!

For the rear discs - you can go with a 323 setup - do a search.

For the fronts you have to roll your own - nothing off the shelf in a kit form that I know of. People have done Wilwoods and similar, it just involves fabbing.

I was looking at the Bavauto performance rotors, If i got a 323 setup, would i be able to use similair ones, the thing i dont want is drilled and slotted rotors int he front, and plain ol disc brakes in the rear.

Do you know where I can read how to change the 320i rear end to a 323 rear setup, what will I need, Control arms, tie rods, etc etc?

USE THE SEARCH!!!!!!

Unless your racing there really is no need for rear disk as the drums are pretty well engineered. The best bet for front upgrade is the Girling swap. Wilwood is also an alternative if you have about $1200 to spend on brakes that slow down a 2500# car with about 100-150hp.

I love Tricord too, but what makes you think we cant give the same info here as they do on Tricord?

I assumed he used the search and was unsatisfied with the results. We can give him all the info he needs, I just happen to find tricord more applicable to what I'm looking for. Besides, I usually crossreferance the two.

The rear disk swap is farely straightforward. Find 323i rear trailing arms in places like ebay, ebay.de (germany), aardvark racing, BF.C, tricord, 2002ad etc. Every now and then they turn up. Once you get them, and assuming they are complete, including calipers and parking brake cables you can rebuild what's toast buying all the parts from bavauto.com. (there may be cheaper places...) E21 rear rotors are identical to E30 rear rotors. I rebuilt my calipers for about $15 each, or you can also swap E30 calipers on with a few mods to the mounting points. They will be alot more available, cheaper, and have far greater pad selection. If your trailing arms need bearings, keep in mind that the disk brake rear bearings are different than the drum rear bearings.

For a cheap vented front brake setup that will perform better (and be cheaper) than the 323i vented setup, go with the Volvo/girling swap as CJ suggested. For a writeup, see the link in my sig. I wouldn't mess with bavauto's performance rotors, go with stock vented '77 320i rotors or 323i rotors (same part number) and the girling calipers.

Edit: I also have a complete parts list with prices and supplier in excel that I put together for somebody. I'll email it to you if you want it.
