Has anyone driven a X5 3.0 manual with the sport package? I am curious about their performance as well as their fun factor. Does have a more sporty feel to it? I may have to get an SUV and this is one of the few that comes with a manual transmission.

Thanks!

Edit - Corrected my poor spelling. Damn that was bad!

Just having fun...

The 3.0 is more performance than most other SUV's out there. Well balanced and fun to drive. Just never drive a 4.4, or, for god sake, a 4.6. Those are fun. I've never had the pleasure of the 4.6, but I hear it's a beast! If you want to feel good about a 3.0...test a base Mercedes SUV.....not a good one!

Although not as much power as the bigger engines (obviously) the 3.0 is better balanced and handles a little better.

I have driven the 3.0 with a stick. The shifter felt almost exactly like my 330, but of course the seating position was different.

OT: Would the added weight of the X5 make it hard to put the blower that Dave has on there? Would that work? It has the same engine. I think that would be awesome:dunno
