Do all 5 tone trucks (2 axle, 6 wheels) have syncros on all gears and air brakes in our days? Refering to modern International 4900 and all the similar ones. How hard is it to drive one of those?

(in otherwords I haven't the slightest clue) Bane 06-19-2006, 04:51 PM Haa, good one. Sorry but I can't help either. Yonkers320is 06-19-2006, 09:36 PM I drove Mitsubishi Fuso box trucks and they have synchro on the gears, but you still need to double clutch to be smooth and not loose too much rpms. as for the brakes they were regular hydraulic discs and drum. even the 4X4 version had regukar brakes, I think bigger than 5 ton need/have air brakes, like the UD, Volvo, Ford, and GMC Dickfruster 07-05-2006, 09:43 PM So, iam about to drive one of those trucks today. 4300 to be exact. Can someone give me a crash course on how to look good the first time i do it. I can drive pretty much anything, but still dont wanna look too " I know I can.." |
