interesting thing happened. 2 weeks ago, the adjusting pulley for my AC system fell off (longer story as to why, mostly my stupidity) Well i got my pulley that i needed in order to get my ac working, the belt had been off for over 2 weeks and it has been hot as hell down here.
So i put the new belt and pulley on ( now that AC worked fine prior to this incident ) and start the car and the compressor is LOCKED UP!! NO SPINNING!!:mad :mad :mad :mad
so i get pissed, knowing that my compressor was fine 2 weeks ago. So instead of kicking the hell outta my car cause it's making me spend more money on the AC now, i assume it was rain and moisture that just locked up the bearings or something, so i shoot it with some PB blaster and turn it by hand, start it up. and everything runs smooth as silk!
what i'm worried about is this happenening again, where i don't have a can of PB blaster sitting at my side. Is there anywhere in particular i can put some lithium or something to make sure this baby stays lubed and rust free?
or do you guys have any ideas what might have caused this that i can't think of? your help is appreciated.
thanks!
