I've called Bridgestone customer service, TireRack, and a local dealer and no one knows what i'm talking about. :(

Does Bridgestone have a replacement policy regarding tires that are damaged beyond repair (ie nail in sidewall etc) where they will sell you a new tire at a discount over retail, prorated to how much life the damaged tire had left? So basically it's a bigger discount the newer the tire is?

I thought I remembered hearing about this awhile back and trying to figure it out as I have a tire that had it's bead damaged when it was mounted.

I've had the same thing happen to me, but the tire was replaced and "prorated" at the tire store. I think it was thru the store itself not Bridgestone. Best of luck, I was quite upset when it happened since the tire was like 100 miles old. Luckly the manager at the store took care of us since we are good customers.

That's what I thought. I called one store, and they didn't do that.

It's a bummer because the tire only has about 2k miles on it.

Its called a Road Hazard Warranty. Tire rack and most car dealers offer it through "Dealer Tire".
Its like paying insurance for your tires.
I can get you the Bridgestone warr info if you want. I'm at work sitting on my hands.:D

That warranty you read comes from discount tire co. I just looked it up like 2 secs ago because I'm buying new tires.

Bridgestone has a mfg defect warranty that is good for the life of the tire but any road hazzard would not be covered. Continental is the only tire company that offers a road hazzard at no charge on their tires. It is for the first year or 2/32" tread depth.
We do offer a road hazzard warranty for the tires we sell at an additional price.
