I am wondering if anybody has any experience with these diagnostic tools. which one is better? thanks LeftCoastBias 06-15-2006, 05:27 PM i've used the gt1 and found it incredibly straight forward and easy to use. never heard of the DISplus. i've seen the modec, but never actually got to operate one. it didn't look too hard, but not as simple as the GT1 (but again, i only got to watch, not operate the modec) snuggz 06-15-2006, 05:33 PM There's a HUGE review of OBDII diagnostic tools in the latest Roundel... not sure if you've seen it, but there are some insanely cool toys in it, including the GT1 and DISplus. GT1 is, like, God or something. I know it's the _only_ thing that can do certain things on E46+ cars... selnashar 06-15-2006, 05:53 PM There's a HUGE review of OBDII diagnostic tools in the latest Roundel... not sure if you've seen it, but there are some insanely cool toys in it, including the GT1 and DISplus. I would perfer the gt1 over the displus gtopaul 06-17-2006, 09:08 AM and DisPlus is pretty much a dated system. We are being told by BMW that the new diagnostic tool will be a regular wireless laptop with the capability to do all the functions needed. Maybe you'll be able to pick up a GT1 for cheap soon. ;-) Paul ncipps 06-17-2006, 10:39 AM anyone know where u can pick one of these units up at?? I am interested in purchasing a unit as well. Nick LeftCoastBias 06-17-2006, 11:40 AM dude if you still have the copy i would really really really appreciate you scanning it for me, thanks for your time haven't forgot you, just haven't found it yet killcrap 06-19-2006, 04:53 AM GT-1's are pretty helpful, but at $37,000 the price is kinda steep. The scanner i use does everything the Current GT-1 does except Test Plans, and Coding and Programming. And its affordable for every DIY guy out there. Comes with 20 Pin and 16 Pin All you need is a Laptop with Serial Port, or USB to Serial(FTDI). Contact me for more info. killcrap@msn.com BTW it is NOT CARSOFT, IT IS BETTER! :) rennfahrer 06-19-2006, 05:51 AM what is it, and how much? selnashar 06-19-2006, 06:07 AM haven't forgot you, just haven't found it yet no worries man |
