I have a buddy who made a very large set of BBS rims for his A2 Jetta,
and the rims stick out wider than the car. I will try to take some pictures of this.

He had to hack up the fender lips in the front, and its lowered.
He used 195 50 15s and the tires taper in at the top of the rims, due to how wide the rims are. In the front he is 15 x 9 and the back 15 x 10.
He said he can let me try these on my car for fun sometime.

Anyway my question is this. Its been forever since I have played around with wheel sizes. Do 15 x 8s fit in the front and rear of a lowered car, like mine with
rolled fender lips??

later,
J

lol. Its going to depend on offset, but i dont like your chances.

Just for shits and giggles, there was a set of 2002 wheels forsale on ebay recently, 15x12 rear and 15x9 fronts. Had like 7" of dish on the rear wheels :o

They are 15 x 8, with a 18mm offset.
It just seems like they are too wide.

I have 15x8 on all 4 with 225 45 15 hoosier tires fits in the front ok with rolled fenders the back was alot more work I have about 0.125 from the tire to the shock in full bump on the rear the rims hane a 4.125" back space. I think a 205 50 15 work with a 8" wheel with rolling the fenders.
