Hello guys,

I'm doing the swap on the suspension and been calling Pep Boys/Autozone/Strauss but no luck on renting the tool. Wondering if any locals can help me out.

Thank you,

I would take the assembly if i can't locate the tool. Unfortunately, i'm stuck at the control arm outer ball joints and tie rods. They would need a puller to be removed(Bentley). Besides, the inner ball joints didn't look too easy to be removed especially on the passenger side. I'll go to Sears for the closed end wrench. I think it's like 20mm.
If you guys have any ideas/tricks on removing the joints and tie rods please let me know.

Thanks,

:lol If you look close enough a reg wrench wont fit. you have to modify a open end wrench to fit. I did it, still have the tool in my garage. Your welcome to use it if your close enough.

why in god's name are you taking all that apart? all you need to do is remove the 3 nuts at the top (in the engine bay) and then the 3 bolts that hold the strut assembly to the steering knuckle. the strut assembly will come right out.

oh ok from your first post i got that you were just doing struts and springs. anyway. all you need is something called a "pickle fork" or a ball joint press to seperate the ball joint. i know advance auto parts has both.

I'm going advance and Autozone tonight. Do you happen to know what is the equilvalent of size M14(metric) in mm?
