TransporterE38 06-12-2006, 10:59 AM Its a nice car, i'll give the guy that, but the only problem is....there was never an m7 in the e38. Its a load.
How many M's does that car really have? I lost count:(
iLLmatic760 06-12-2006, 11:27 AM some one is about to get robbed! 33k with over a day left this thing might end up going for 50k!
Reed Hunt 06-12-2006, 11:29 AM Yeah, we beat this one up over here:

I did notice a classic line in the description, one having to do with the steptronic transmission, I guess - "manual drive capable".
Nice.
I give the seller credit, though, the price is now north of $32K - wow. They're getting an additional $1K per M badge, it appears...
TransporterE38 06-12-2006, 11:33 AM it makes me wanna put some m stickers on my car and sell it...lol..
but i do know who ever does buy this is going to take it to a dealer, find out its not an m7 and then turn around and sue the person who sold it.

It does have the M-Sport package, so some of those M badges came on the car stock. But believe me when I say I am absolutely NOT giving the car props or saying it's worthy of M7 status. He'd need a V12 swap, and twin turbo's a 6 speed manual tranny and a completely rebuilt suspension and HUGE brake upgrade for me to start giving this thing any credibility. And still anything not built by the M division is still pretty retarded to be called an "M"

Let's be clear.
I am about 95% certain that this only designates it's a Sport (others here with Sports can probably confirm this) - and the 740i Sport comes with very few M badges and none of the exterior ones shown.
The M badges on this car mean nothing and are or should be embarassing...IMHO.

Yeah, no joke. I might invest $2,000 in "M" emblems and a body kit before I sell my car and sell it as an "M7" to make another $15k. Shit! :rolleyes
Bimmerhead 06-12-2006, 01:05 PM Makes me wonder what Baby is worth :dunno
TransporterE38 06-12-2006, 01:17 PM Idk, I just really do NOT like the e38 in red...the car is a distinction of success and wealth, not riced out rich kid.

Simeon,
I don't think you even want to go there...! :-O

how bout for it to have the 400hp 5L v8 like the m5...along with the same body kit, and of course a 6 speed transmission;)

Simeon, i think you should answer the above question or wait it's a statement.

much better than not having anything more than a standard 4.4L V8 with NO performance upgrades, but I think any ///M should have a larger motor than...oh wait, the E30 M3 had a smaller motor than the 325is of the time...nevermind that one..a 5L 400hp V8 would suit it just fine.

oh yeah, I am with you on the hate for the extra M badges. And I'm pretty sure you're right about the fact the M Sport Suspension just makes it a Sport. I think all of the "Sport" models had the "M Sport Suspension".
krnz3 06-12-2006, 11:53 PM That is a hot e38 7 series... even tho the M7 makes it look like a ///M wanna be
