Just bought an 2001 740i Sport wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction for after market mods, understanding I know of Bav auto, Turner, BMP Design, Motorwerks etc..

Including after market wheels and pics if you have them.

Anyone who has modded their ride, tell me the mod and where you found it.

THANKS ALL IN ADVANCE!:cool

List of Mods:

1. Powerchip Gold 93
2. CAI ? Not sure of Manufacturer
3. Coil Over Springs? Eibach, HRE
4. Exhaust?
5. Wheels/Tires for Track?
6. Supercharger?
7. Nitro?

Just a preliminary list but I think these mods would provide best bang for the buck early on.

Early on?

I shudder to think what might be coming later...!

Oh, and you may want to throw a BBK in there somewhere...it's always nice to be able to stop...

A list like that makes me wonder why nobody has ever proposed a surely expensive yet "seems possible to me" mod: drop a 750 engine into the 740i Sport body.

Sure, it will cost you a fortune, and it may never pass emissions, and nobody would believe you had actually done it, but you'd have a real ass-kicker. Since the 750i was made for Europe, the parts all exist...

Nominal performance gains and harder to mod, from what I understand...

yeah i wouldnt bother with the 12 cylinder mod...just stick with what you have already, and drop a 6 speed into it and some other goodies too :)

Well, I may help you with the CAI. I have a slightly used one from REVHIGH. I have just restored mine to stock box in anticipation of a possible sale. I like this unit because it sits partially in the fender, away from most of the engine heat and from any rain/snow, making water injestion impossible.
