There hasn't been a post here in like 2 months, so I thought I'd break it up. Here's my 1983 320i, sans bumper and back seat. Soon it will be prepped for racing:devillook

Lovely car, I almost bought a 1982 320i with crazy ground effects once but ended up getting an e30 318i instead. I've always wondered why they got rid of the 2.0 liter engine, it seemed more powerful than the 1.8 e30s.

Mine actually is a 1.8 rated at a whopping 101 hp. The 1977-1980 320i was the 2.0 with 110 hp, and apparantely a lot peppier. Same ole wacked up nomenclature from BMW, 1.8 in a 320i, 2.5 in a 323i, 2.7 in a 325e, etc...

I find it amazing also that somone actuall posted something in here!

You're 320 looks in great shape, you just need to get rid of the Rally Suspension! It reminds me of how my car looked when I first got it! :D

Here's what it looked like Last year:

I have done alot more work to it since then. I'm in the process of doing an engine swap now, so I can get ready for next season! :D

I appreciate the compliment. I bought it for $900 from my boss, and have replaced a LOT of stuff. Are you racing SCCA ITB?? I assume not with an e30 M3 running behind you. I'll need to get some info on what kind of setup you got running sometime...

You're Welcome! :)

WOW! That's a good deal!

That photo was from a drivers school at Summit Point Raceway in West VA.

The car basically has an IT setup on it, but I just built it to have fun with. The only type of racing that I do compete in with the car is Autocrossing. All the track stuff I do with it is just schools, time trials, and open track days. I'm going to build another car to really go racing with sometime soon. I built the car to learn and progress with. I'll have to see how things go next year with the new engine, then I'll decide what I'm going to go with.

Since I was one of the few voices in the wilderness responsible for the creation of this E21 forum in the first place, I should post a few final shots of my E21, which is currently for sale for $2200 obo. (Call 323-459-0823 if interested.) It's been a great car, but I have a newer E30 now... :bawl

I'm in the process of installing an S14. Its in the car now, and I finally got it running last weekend, now I just have to hook everything else up and take it for a test drive! :D

Libra, That looks really nice! Why are you selling the car? Other then the fact that you now have an E30? Can't have both cars?

Damn!!! That 323 is beeeeauuutiful. And you've got an M1!!! I'm jealous. Your 320 is pretty damn good lookin' for a $900 car, BimmerDawg. Oh, I hated watching that UGA Florida game. I might have kinda liked it, had I not just gotten back from our game w/ GA Tech...:(

I appreciate it. Yeah, I hated seeing Tech win, too...never good. Plus, I wanted to see as many teams end up the season undefeated, just to see the BCS get hell again. I HATE the BCS...but not as much as Florida!!!:complain

I'm leaving the engine as I got it for the time being. Once I get used to it though I will probably start changing things!

I appreciate it! Here's a pic up-close of the aforementioned missing bumpers.:D I know it looks kinda ghetto, especially w/the side accordian bumper extensions still on there, but I had just paid $15 to replace the reflectors! The original plan was to take the bumper off, drill a hole in the bumper shocks, and compress them, as to make the bumper look more like the euro ones. However, halfway into it, I realized it looked good without them. I simply put the fog lights into the hole for the bumper shocks, and that, as they say, was that!!!
