I have a 95 M3, and the other day the windshield wipers kicked on for no reason when I started the car. When I leave the lever in the off position, sometimes they stay off, but sometimes they turn on and just start going. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem, or might know what it could be.

I had this problem once...i think i had a wire short or bad fuse.
Look into those thing. Hope it solves you issue.

Try two things, disconnect youre positive and negative battery terminals and hold them together for 10-15 seconds. This worked for me, sorta grounds out the whole system, but make sure you have youre radio code. Second find the wiper relay (under the rear near the battery in an E34, not sure about the E36) clean the contacts and put it back. Let me know if it works, good luck.

buy doing that you will clear alot of code issues that are poping up. I have heard plenty of people doing that, but never tried it myself..
