At 18, you are - in the eyes of the law, at least - an adult. If you chose to be on your own, no one else is obliged to take care of you.

And to turn the equation around, at that point, they can actually throw you out if they like.

if you r living there for free then i would suggest staying, im lucky enough to have moved out and know some nice grandparents of my significant other that have this empty basement free of charge
