Anyways, I just bought an Ipod cig lighter charger and when I have it connected I get a very load whine through the speakers. I know that this is caused from a bad ground, but my question is if this means that the cig lighter isn't grounded or if the charger is the problem? In either case how do I fix this?:help

Well I'm at it, is it possible to tear apart the charger and wire it into the lighter without causing a drain on the battery? I want to do this to hide the bulky unit and wires.

Solution:
Apparently the charger I bought was a crappy one and it didn't put out enough volts to be compatible with the Ipod. This was the cause of the whine. Thought you guys would want to know.
