JByrd 06-08-2006, 10:39 PM For those who are going with us to help setup....we need to be there @ 7am. ....and any help for this one will be appreciated. The SCSFG won't let us in until 7:00 am. Usually by that time the course is mostly set up and registration is open. Plus it would be good exposure for you to get on the autocross volunteer committee. tran330cic 06-08-2006, 11:12 PM Does it cost any money to come and watch? BimmerBoyZ3 06-09-2006, 07:25 AM Does it cost any money to come and watch? Nope. Free for spectators. You can even get a ride or two if you ask nicely. All you have to do is sign a waiver and wear a green armband. Come out and join us. Fun starts around 10am with the first car out. 8ball 06-09-2006, 08:40 AM I'll be there at 7am to help out. JByrd 06-09-2006, 11:11 AM Does it cost any money to come and watch? Also, there will be an event on Sunday in Kannapolis, NC at Intimidators Stadium. Details at ccrscca.com 8ball 06-09-2006, 04:27 PM John are you going to be at the CCR event on the 17th? That looks like a fun course. 8ball 06-09-2006, 04:28 PM Doh, nevermind I just saw your thread. Cool I can't wait for that one. 8ball 06-11-2006, 06:44 PM Hey PJ, judging from this picture, you're right. Time for some new front struts. I would imagine you did bottom them out a few times this event. http://www.dtpphoto.com/galleries/20060610photos/pages/D2C_2793119Lg.htm PJ325i 06-11-2006, 08:02 PM SWEET JESUS!!! PJ is currently taking donations. . . !! And just think. . .I actually drove the better like that. . . It looks just like that Oldmobile 88 . . :) 8ball 06-11-2006, 08:41 PM You're definately gonna need some coilovers before you go with wider rims. Gotta get that spring rate up. BimmerBoyZ3 06-11-2006, 10:11 PM You're definately gonna need some coilovers before you go with wider rims. Gotta get that spring rate up. Ya hear that PJ....BUY SOME TIEN COILOVERS! :stickoutt JByrd 06-13-2006, 12:26 AM Is this a good lookin' crew - or what? http://www.dtpphoto.com/galleries/20060610photos/images/D2C_2485007Lg.jpg 8ball 06-13-2006, 08:18 AM Yeah I missed the walk through trying to track down the connectors for the timing lights. Wish I had had some more time. PJ325i 06-13-2006, 09:56 AM You still ran a smokin time . . . I think if you had a good walk through you might have been in the low 43s. I was looking at you time slips and you were like me . . . just picking up time. I still couldn't find more time . . . The only place I picked up time was where John and Dustin told me I was running into the slalom too hot and hide. I think I trail braked too much into the 2 second lap . . .with was probably worth about few tenths. I think in July, we should space out on the grid if we are in the same run group. Looking at the pics and some of your previous Autox, I think we may have similar driving styles and can comment on each others driving. I remember you telling me that you squeezed down just before middle to get a better line. I tried on the run that Dayton took a pic of (fuel door open and no front strut action :nono) and it worked great for me. I was SUPER close to cones and actually was pretty close to banging the limiter in 2nd gear :eyecrazy just before turning right for lap 2. 8ball 06-13-2006, 10:35 AM Yeah had I walked lap 2 side a few more times I may have done better on the finish and found another half second. I love these huge pics. I learn alot from my tire slip angles. I noticed all of our gas doors were coming open on that turn too. Check my new thread about July 1st and 2nd. It's gonna be fun. I'm pre-registered. I'm gonna wera out those tires before I get my new ones now. Forget selling them, I'm gonna cord them. PJ325i 06-13-2006, 10:47 AM They drive really good once you get rid of the treads ;) 8ball 06-13-2006, 10:57 AM do they really or are you joking? PJ325i 06-13-2006, 11:54 AM To me . . .as the treads wore away. . . they got a little better. . . But they did become more sensitive to heat and pressure changes. I drove my first set of Azenis to the cords and they didn't have a sharp decline in grip. Ultimate grip. . . .yes was gone. But it did keep it's consistency. And as worn down as they were just before the cords peeked out . . . it was still better than some regular street tires. The treads on there still has some squrim in them. Get rid of the treads. . . get rid of the squrim. I drove those tires until it was a slick with cords :D PJ325i 06-19-2006, 02:51 PM After looking at that pic of the no shock action. . . :phatyo: The camber curves on the car are spot freakin on. . . . :D BimmerBoyZ3 06-19-2006, 04:02 PM After looking at that pic of the no shock action. . . :phatyo: The camber curves on the car are spot freakin on. . . . :D Cambers curves = On Ride Height = Way the F*CK off! :stickoutt |
