I'll keep an eye out! That is one of the reasons my car rarely goes into NYC. I once hit a pothole that made the entire car shake and it made this horrible noise. I thought that I has destroyed one of my rims, but I was very lucky!! I hope you can get it fixed?!? vespo88 05-31-2006, 01:17 AM ouuuuuchhhhhhh! themadhatter 05-31-2006, 07:03 AM ouch, I'm guessing that was a BBS RC? better hurry up as they are only $299 on ebay per wheel right now. they are discontinued so you better get them while they are still available. thumper3ld 05-31-2006, 07:27 AM sorry about the red x's. not sure about how to post bigger pics, but here are the clickable thumbnails. and correction about where the hole was, it was around the 108 st exit (not 188 sorry) i forgot exactly where the pothole was...i guess the next time i pass by there i'll get more details. i'm pretty sure i might of just hit the hole wrong, and i'm payin for my mistake... big time http://img130.imagevenue.com/loc57/th_42558_wheel1.jpg (http://img130.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc57&image=42558_wheel1.jpg)http://img41.imagevenue.com/loc296/th_42564_wheel2.jpg (http://img41.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc296&image=42564_wheel2.jpg)http://img121.imagevenue.com/loc129/th_42570_wheel3.jpg (http://img121.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc129&image=42570_wheel3.jpg) Ouch that sucks. Gotta be careful when driving through queens on the L.I.E. I prefer the GCP if possible. Dan 05-31-2006, 11:30 AM forged>cast. themadhatter 05-31-2006, 11:59 AM forged>cast. true. the RCJs are forged, the RCs are cast. ehlpitel 05-31-2006, 02:23 PM OMG, that is so lame, I'm so glad the wheels on my e30 are never going to be bigger than 16s. themadhatter 05-31-2006, 02:28 PM what size rubber were you running? Wasiq 05-31-2006, 08:41 PM forged>cast. yea but if you hit a pothole hard enough, even though forged won't bend, it will most likley crack. Dan 05-31-2006, 09:15 PM yea but if you hit a pothole hard enough, even though forged won't bend, it will most likley crack. does this mean if i fed you enough pork you'll turn jew? :rofl Wasiq 05-31-2006, 09:22 PM does this mean if i fed you enough pork you'll turn jew? :rofl I thank God for the invention of dental floss everyda :D. Boomer 06-01-2006, 03:58 PM You know, this is the city's fault! I would have stopped right away and called the cops, make sure they write a nice well detailed report and then bring this to city hall make sure they pay for the wheel, threaten to sue. I've done this in NJ when I blew out my tire because of a huge pothole, they(Watchung) paid for damages. thumper3ld 06-01-2006, 04:42 PM You know, this is the city's fault! And after they are notified, they have "x" amount of time to fix. Atleast this is what I've heard somewhere. dcllee 06-01-2006, 04:50 PM In NYC, the city has to be notified of the pothole b4 they are responsible for it.
