As the title states.. how are people doing this exactly in PS?

Goto Image+Adjustments either desaturate or hue/saturation and turn down the hue/saturation then mess with lightness and to define it use brightness/contrast.

Yep what he said ^. You may also need to adjust levels afterwards.

ohhh I see.. so you lasso around the car and then do that :d I was doing the whole thing and then trying to adjust the color on the car :D

Another little trick I found was to lasso JUST around the car while in color, right click and do a layer cut and then to desurate or whatever on the background :D

One last question.. is there anyway to select around the car or select the car easily other then trying to freehand it? I have the shakey hand which makes doing this very difficult :(

Yes you can use the pen tool to create a path.

magnet is for nubs jk, but i do find it moving to areas i don't like


i juse polygonal lasso and just click a lot. seems the most controlled of them all

thx 4 years of MSpaint, some stuff carries ove :D

rly tho, i only have elements and don't do the crack thing cuz my friend got in trouble for it. elements is like training wheels on a tricycle, it's kind of sad
