BIL just got into an accident (he was sandwiched) got rear ended and pushed forward, hitting the front car, air bags did not deploy........well the entire electrical system is the car is shut down.

how can he reset the car so that he could at least drive it out of his driveway and into his garage.

His car was towed to his house.

He called BMW NA and they said that in a major accident the car's electrical systems shuts down....

Hmm, I have no clue as to what can be done. Maybe he should disconnect the battery and then connect it again?

How come BMW won't tell him how to fix it?

well,
they are afraid that he's gonna continue to drive it, they don't believe that he'll just repark the car in the garage.

oh btw. according to bmw...in a major accidents....your emergency lights goes on automatically and like i said before, your electrical system shuts down.
