MMmmmpower 05-20-2006, 04:05 AM Can anyone recommend a good BMW mechanic in Edmonton, Alberta? Thanks! Go Oilers! First of all I love your rims! Second, I Usually use Karmac, right beside Bavaria BMW. They do good work there and its about $15 less an hour then the stealership!:alright 540Hokkenheim 05-20-2006, 01:44 PM Wow thanks for the comment on my style 5's. In my opinion, I think they look the best on an e34 5'er. I've heard of Karmac and I think I have driven by it. If memory serves correct they are right behind Dantes bistro. Thanks for the tip. Have you ever dealt with Ital Motors on 101 St and 108 ave? alejandro 05-22-2006, 04:27 PM Hi, nice rims, do you want to sell? the shops i go to are Albertamotorwerks, #4669140 the owner is Frank, tell him Alex send you he will take care of your car. The other shop i go is Karmac, you want to talk to Theo, tell him Alex from Velocitymotorsport send you . good luck. MMmmmpower 05-22-2006, 06:03 PM Yeah theo is a pretty good guy to deal with, Iv never been to albertamotorwerks before but i might have to go try it out! e36'n 05-30-2006, 02:31 AM A couple people I've talked to have actually had some issues with Frank. I won't take my car to him but that's just me. AJ Auto is a great place if you're on the southside and can get in. The new dealership is AAA service but dealer prices. Eurasia knows their stuff as well. matty21 05-30-2006, 09:25 PM frank at alberta motorwerks all the way!!!! i dont trust anyone else with my car ahenden 06-15-2006, 01:01 AM These guys specialize in German marques. They are also strong supporters of the NABMW Club and the Polar Region PCA Club. One of the owner's is actually a member of both. I guarantee you won't find a better shop. BRBurn 06-16-2006, 12:04 PM Yes, Eurasia Automotive is back in business after the fire in 2003 forced its closure. They are now on 91 st and 56 ave and since my warranty has expired I have them do all my servicing. The shop rate is very reasonable and the work is excellent. e36'n 06-17-2006, 11:26 AM Isn't the shop rate the same $100 that the dealerships charge? ahenden 06-17-2006, 11:39 AM Isn't the shop rate the same $100 that the dealerships charge? No, I believe it's 80. I'll check for you. Also bear in mind that they use more sources for parts so you save bigtime there as well. e36'n 06-17-2006, 12:41 PM No, I believe it's 80. I'll check for you. My dad's one of the people in the NABMW club, can't remember the exact title, but I definitely would take my car there again. 540Hokkenheim 06-19-2006, 02:53 PM A couple people I've talked to have actually had some issues with Frank. Eurasia knows their stuff as well. I'm gonna have to agree with this one. I took my car to frank in the winter to install some foglight lenses because I don't have a covered garage or I would do it myself, and he ended up charging me something like $203 to remove the foglights, put on lenses, and reinstall them. Now if that isn't value I don't know what is...:mad After pleading my case they claim that it is the price for that job. While I was in the waiting room I was speaking with another gentleman who was a lawyer, and he told me that this was the last time he was taking his car to Frank as he felt that he was being grotesquely over charged for some work he had done. |
