Anyone interested in helping me out with a cooling system swap? I have all(I think) needed tools, I just don't have anything to drain crap into and wouldn't mind having some company workng on the car. Things to be done... whatever is in my sig, plus I just got a fan delete kit from Understeer.com

Outta the wood work with you! Who wants to entertain me? I can/will travel to KC to do this...

Lemme know!

Hey Ted, we can talk about this on Friday while Brady is shoving 48oz + of burrito goodness down his gullet.

I replaced my stock radiator a while back and it was easy. Just make sure you have extra coolant and distilled water. Oh, make sure you have someone else pop the drain to the block cause coolant goes everywhere. That is of course if your not into blue showers.

I did the radiator swap last summer on my old e36, not that hard, although we didn't bleed the system that well...

Ted,

If you aren't in a hurry, I may eventually get my car done and have space in my garage to do this some weekend.

Not in a huge hurry. This weekend may actually be occupied with golf and graduation parties. Sometime in the not too distant future is all I'm thinkin.

IF I come back to KC this weekend I have a broad drain pan you can use BUT I find it easier to use a big cheap bucket from home depot. It catches all the splashing.

Barrett has the tools for the fan clutch if need be. We could give him a call.

That is not a suggestion. :shifty

That is all.

Figures he has it! :D I'll shoot him a PM and see if I can get ahold of him...

Dan - I think the evil laugh you are looking for is Mwahahaha, not BAHAHA. :rofl

No, it was a Bahahaha, cuz I laughed out loud and couldn't pull it off. :D

FYI, I bet Bobby (black90325i) has the tools too ;)

Like Thed said, shitty weekend for it. Finals are this week and that means there will be:

a. parties galore
b. last grab for pussy before it clears out for summer.

Therefore: Our Chipotle > your Chipotle.

He told me he just rented a tool from O'Rielly's/an auto part's store...

So I did the same thing and it was FREE.. just have to make a deposit on it and return it in 48hrs.

It's kinda goofy to use on a E36 (it's meant for a 4.9L straight6 Ford engine), but it does work.

Hmmm, for the longest time he carried it around with him to club meets and such. Its just a really flat wrench and then one with 2 holes for the fan bolts.

That's what I kinda thought too.

Anyway, here's what he told me in a PM about two weeks ago when I asked if he had a fan tool...

Man, the only tool I don't have is the fan removel tool What I did was rent one at the parts store.

So anyway... that's why I posted about it. :dunno
