As the title says- will an SRS (safety restraint system) light being on cause a car to fail Maryland safety inspection?
Edit: Not sure what the light says.... This will be my first BMW and I haven't gotten it yet. I have been told that it has a light on- not sure if it is an airbag light, says "srs", or what. The car is a '96 328is. I will be able to pick the car up at the end of this month.

I don't know about an SRS light, my M3 only has an "airbag" light, and I know for sure this wouldn't be a problem. Airbags are not on the inspection list. Seatbelts are required for each of the seats that came with the car.

No. I certainly didn't bribe the place I went to before, but the car had the airbag light on and it passed. Maybe they just weren't all that "by the book". Dunno
