We're currently in the process of getting ready to purchase a 97 840ci, it's going throught the pre-purchase inspection now. Is there anything mechanical that i should look out for on the car, and, this may sound stupid, but is there any place that sells clear front turn signals for the E31's, i think it would make the car look much better. This BMW dealer can get the Euro smoked assemblies. http://buybmw.com/access.aspx Email Dave or Al and they discount 8 parts a lot more than your local will.

The main place for 8 owners is the E31 section on Roadfly. Also try www.clube31.com an international group.

alright thanks i appreciate it. THe inspection showed the car to not be quite what the previous owner or i thought it was...so we're playin the price game now. I'll post pics if/when we get it...it's a beautiful machine

Thanks Terry. I am sure I will get another E31 in the future before the 2007 8Fest to be hosted at DC Metro area.

I haven't had the chance to take pictures, sorry guys, i spent 2 hours polishing and waxing it today(bad swirls), and i had to do an oil change yesterday, anybody else have to buy a 36mm socket for the oil filter?...i'll try and take pics tommorrow in the daylight
