hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place to go in the 19135 area code for a mechanic. I know of a pretty decent place in jersey, but I'd rather not have to go over the bridge and travel for 25 minutes...especially if I have to leave my car at the shop.

What needs done?

Tilsons Motorcar is awesome. I just had work done their and they were referred to me by a board member here and a friend of mine. Great work. They are over by the Overbrook train station on North 63rd I think it is.

at the moment, my CEL and airbags lights are on. after running the OBD-II scanner I discovered that I have a cylinder 6 misfire, and unfortunately I don't have any tools to swap spark plugs myself :( because I'm thinking that is the problem with my idle. and the airbag issue, I don't have the diagnostic tools or the time to figure it out and correct the problem...but I don't want to let that system have a problem for too long, just in case.

I also need a foglight connection fixed (only the driver's side lights up), my front bumper needs to be reset (some jerk in a parking lot bumped it and now it's a liitle crooked...not to mention banged up :mad ). however these issues are not as vital as the other ones.

if anyone on here has any interest on working on it with me, I'd love the opportunity to do that to save some $$$, learn more about fixing my car, and meet some cool new people. so that's basically where I am at!

There are two grea tplaces I know of about 20-30 outside the city. Zytgmunt motors in doylestown and bavarian specialties in KOP. Both are really good and know BMWs better than anybody. Zygmunt is cheaper, but very competant. Ask for Chris when you call (215)348-3121
