I own a 2003 325i and every time it rains or i wash it, water goes in through the rear doors and the front passenger door, and it floods my carpet. i took it to the dealership but they couldnt find anything wrong with it. If anyone has had a similiar problem or knows how to fix it please help me.

Thats a typical problem. What's happened is that either the watershield inside of the doors has failed or the drain holes in the bottom of the door are plugged. The fix is pretty easy once yo9u get the door panels off.

The door panel has to com off. Theres a sheet of plastic under the panel that should be adhered to the inside edge of the door. Its purpose is to keep water channeled towards the outside of the door. The drain holes are in the outer edge of the door. Make sure that the drains are open and if the plastic has failed replacing it with poly film and sealing that down with weatherstipping adhesive and duct tape will eliminate the problem.

You should also make sure that the sunroof drains are open. A bit compressed air will usually do the trick.

I'd highly recommend using a small dehumidifier to dry out the car. Water tends to be trapped in the carpet and mold will form.
