Ok here is my problem. My passenger side turn signal works fine. But my drivers side signal doesn't work at all. Even inside the car the turn indicator doesn't click or light up on the dash, but the pass. saide does. When I turn the hazards on the pass comes on and thats it. Now i jiggled wires up fornt and in back, but nothing. I did however notice that on the drivers side if you look on the inside of the fender by the turn signal there is a set of brown(ground) wires that all lead to a black strip which is bolted to the inside of the fender. apon further inspection I noticed that there was a thred but not bolt, could this be my problem? get a bolt from the stealership and that will force a ground connection? Anyone know if these brown wires have anyting to do w/ the turn signals? I don't want to get a ticket. I hope someone can enlighten me. Thanks

Does it light with the headlight switch set to the first position? Possibly, the bulb burned out? I believe the wrong bulb will also have the same symptoms.

Well...since all functions for the left turn signal are not working, I would say there may be a problem inside the turn-signal switch (located in the steering stalk). I recall having one car (don't remember which one so it may be a non-BMW) that had two sets of fuses. One for the left and one for the right.
But I'm stumped because you say the hazards on that side don't work either.

I'm no expert on electrical issues, but after taking a look at the wiring diagram, I'd try swapping out the Hazard Flasher Relay. Also, perhaps test the continuity of the Blue/Brown wire from that relay that serves all three right side blinker lights.
Here's a PDF of the wiring diagram - maybe someone with a bit more expertise than me can take a look and offer suggestions:

thanks guys. I went to the stealer and it's $100 or so for the flasher relay. I might try and swap my buddys into my car and see if that does the trick, then I'll go and spend $100 or a stupid relay. I have angel eyes and I have them tapped into my parking lights, they come on on both sides, so I am kinda figuring it's ganna be this relay.

I had the same problem, lf socket was corroded, plus make sure you don't have any of those cheap brass socketed light bulbs. get the nickle replacements.
