ebxgsxr 05-11-2006, 07:56 AM well, the truck is really taking a dent in my wallet. so i was able to come up with a solution to help me out, and here it is.......

the car has been sitting for about a year. i took a big chance on it and was hoping i didnt get a car i was going to have to part out. but i got it to my shop on sat night. my tech got it running sunday afternoon. took care of all the stuff it needed to get it road worthy by wed. and i will going to get the tags today(thurs). i figured that as long as i keep the car for @ least 2 months it's going to pay for itself for what i have into it right now. also thinking about everything, 6 tanks of gas in my truck (which is about 3 weeks for my commute) is already more that i have paid for the car.
Spahrman5 05-11-2006, 08:17 AM nice, im checking out a 96 gti this weekend for my winter beater. My Jeep was killing me on gas over the winter, so i cant imagine what it will be like next fall when I start driving it again.

M-technik-3 05-11-2006, 10:26 AM My solution, drive less and use my bicycle for short errands, or walk if possible. Oh and I picked up an 86 325eS as a penny pincher.

I'm buying a motorcycle tomorrow night. 1984 Honda VF750F Interceptor. Nothing special...just something to get me around. It's an old junker, getting it for $800. I'm gonna spray-can it flat black :redspot
AlfaEric 05-11-2006, 11:11 AM I thought this thread was going to be about something like this:

Nice! I like the Mk II Jettas, especially the coupes. My friend used to have a white Jetta Coupe Wolfsburg edition with Pirelli "P" rims on them.
A MkI Rabbit GTi would be shyt though. I LOVE those cars.

ouch. did you have gear on or get rashed? looks like it wuz a nice R1. im guessing by your screen name you had a gixxer too?
TonkpilsNeon - hey, a motorcycle's a motorcycle! good luck with your new bike, make sure you get your "M" stamp on your liscence.
Meow3 - MARB MARB MARB MARB MARB MARB.
Charisma 05-11-2006, 04:43 PM I'd love to pick up an old MKII Jetta/GTI or an early 90's civic. My knowledge is quite vast in those vehicles. I'd probably mod them to hell and keep the bimmer at it's current position lol.
my solution: Not as fast as your guys' bikes, but 70 mpg aint bad!
