For all you audioheads considering sound deadening your E38 trunk this is what it looks like:D You definately notice db gain to your current system and outside rattle is reduced believe me. I've had to turn down my gain/boost now that my system screams. Don't get me wrong I like my music loud but not with overpowering bass. Anyways, prodject was a bitch as it took me all weekend, but the results are well worth it. I took my time I guess but I wanted to do it right. I'll be doing the rest of the car in a couple weeks:buttrock Enjoy the pics!

Prior to deadening, yes I was experiencing rattle from my rear end. I love listening to trance and reggaeton at a somewhat high volume but the rattle wasn't cool. At least coming from the rear end of a 7series. Just a slight hint of rattle on the outside now.

As for my road flares, ones a 2ton the other a 6ton bottle jacks:D

Haha, actually I do. When I stock up at the Commissary I do a months supply of goods. Oh and the seven goes on trips to Sams C too! I actually have alot of room left back there. I still can fit a double stroller with ease for my little girls when we go to the park and stuff:D I'm not hauling dead bodies around so I don't need the lost space back there:rolleyes

Wouldn't it have been easier to determine the cause of the rattling? Might be one of the several suspension bushing points back there.

Ah, okay... the idea of electric sparks, combustible battery gases, and an incendiary torch all together within a foot of the gas tank would concern me just a teeny bit. :D
