Was wondering if anyone has had a problem where the lifters on a 750 loose prime. I had a problem where some water got in the oil so I was trying to clean it out and drained and the refilled the oil, then ran it and drained it again several times. was sounding great and then just slowly started tapping and now will not go away. any help would be great. o and if anyone is interested in the car i am ready to sell it.

How did the water get into the oil?
Letting the engine run fully warmed up should eventually boil off any water that might remain in the oil.

well I had a mysterious coolant leak coming from under the intake so i went ahead and took the intake off and found that the coolant pipe from the waterpump was leaking in the back, and would only leak if you drive it. drove me crazy. anyway, while i had it apart I put new valve covers on it and pass side look ok, but then on the driverside there was some coolant. I found that two of the head bolts heads had poped off. It looks like the ones that did it were the ones that went in to the water jackets. the top of the bolts were corroded and I guess that made them weak. So I got some new ones and replaced them, the funny thing is that the new ones were completely different. the old ones the threads went all the way to the head. on the new ones the treads only went about 3/4ths of the way up the bolt. so that makes me think that they new there was a problem with the head bolts being weak at that point. I have read about that happening on m20's but not on the 750. anyway now it is running fine with no tapping noise and no coolant leaks. neither inside the motor or outside. And now i am thinking about keeping it after dirving it. things you say when your mad. haha
