I've got eight sets of E36 SwayBarbarians in stock now, $350 shipped, no waiting.

so basically its just free shipping? $325 shipped, and everybody would jump on this

bimmer95
05-12-2006, 05:03 PM
On drop ships that might be a possiblity, but the cost of the bars plus the cost of shipping them from UUC to me plus the cost of shipping them to the customer makes $325 shipped unrealistic.

I've deleted the posts listing the non-supporting vendor. You cannot have a GB without approval. And, especially with a non-supporting vendor when there are any number of supporting vendors that carry the same products.

Please do not continue in this manner. If you have any questions, read the GB rules.

Thanks - Jay

OK, I'm gonna hit the guy up tomorrow, and see if I can get a price for 10+ kits or something. They will be shipped to a warehouse in North Hollywood. If you're familiar with my sig, there is a pic of my car i a warehouse full of classic, exotic, and muscle cars. That is where they would go. Anyways, if you are in or around North Hollywood, shipping would be 100% free.

Can you get Eibach bars? I dunno how the admins would feel with me getting group buy pricing with me not being a vender and all. Since no venders are stepping up with a deal, I assume it would be OK though...

Anyways, I haven't had time to get ahold of my Eibach hookup yet. To be honest, the Eibach pro street kit (coilvers) are sounding mighty tempting. Does anyone know what struts and shocks Eibach coilovers use? When I call for sway pricing, I'm gonna knock this out too.

they use eibach shocks and eibach race springs(obviously). Though theyre of "high quality" i hear that eibach lacks the dampening knowledge needed for a race app. coilover. if yorue asking for specifics, the bump is good but when rebounding, theyre under dampened.

You guys are still trying to get this done?

Okay, maybe I can help. Here is what I have available (pending warehouse availability which I will check tomorrow):

H&R E36 for non-M Front Adjustable Sway (28mm) - $185 shipped (MSRP $215 + S/H);
H&R E36 for non-M Rear Adjustable Sway (21mm) - $150 shipped (MSRP $169 + S/H);

H&R E36 for M3 Front Adjustable Sway (28mm) - $245 shipped (MSRP $299 + S/H);
H&R E36 for M3 Rear Adjustable Sway (24mm) - $195 shipped (MSRP $229 + S/H);

H&R springs are made from high-strength spring steel, and are wound in a way that makes them the longest lasting and best performing stabilizer bar made. When you have a factory as big as H&Rs, you can just DO things that other companies can't, and that's why their bars are the best. If you guys want to do this, I will check on availability and timeline tomorrow (H&Rs North American headquarters is 2 hours from me - I can have them immediately).

I can do this only one time as a new Supporting Vendor. H&R seriously frowns on GBs, and so I will do this as an "Grand Opening Special" as a new Supporting Vendor (even though my Grand Opening won't be until 8/1 :D ).

Let me know if this works for you guys.

Thanks!

Hey Guys,

I'm not trying to steal Jesse' s thunder, but I just read 4 pages of this posting and KO is a UUC distributor, and we normally have the UUC bars at $338.99...

Depending on the interest, I may be able to do the UUC GP... and depending on the interest I may be able to do something with the TMS bars as well, as we carry TMS's entire line of products... but the TMS probably wouldn't be a very big discount, as, after all... it's TMS and they race on speedvision and they've got phones ringing off the hook over there...

Can I see two lists (pick one or the other), and LIST your model / year! (ie. 97 M3, etc.) -

I'd like to see the discount TMS gives. Hell even free shipping would be nice. If nothing then I'm in for the UUC's.
I'd like them H&R's but 1)4-6 week backorder and 2)$440 is too much.

no probs, probably worth getting quote from US Post as well, their 6-10 days is usually not too bad
I think they've upped their price in the last month or so...I've shipped a few things domestic recently and the prices were outrageous.

(ie. 97 M3, etc.) -

hey guys... keep the list building... when it's time to throw down with my suppliers, I need to know that I won't be stuck sitting on product forever as we've been trying to pay our web programmers for our backend stuff which has racked up a NICE bill to date... :(...

So as soon as I see 10 solid peeps, I'll get you some sweet pricing.

Oh, yeah sorry. Global Express would be about $40 (3-5 days) and Airmail Parcel Post would be about $35 (6-10 days).

I'll pick up $15 of it for you, so just add $20 to the prices and I can get that out for you. $215 shipped for the rear M3 sway bar.

Thanks for your order! My pleasure.

Some useful info about H&R Sway Bars/Stabilizer Bars:

http://hrsprings.com/site/products/swaybars/title.gif

"Designed to reduce body roll, increase lateral stiffness and improve handling, H&R Sway Bars are crafted from a special 50CrV4 spring steel that is both stronger and more resilient than competitive sway bars. H&R Sway Bars are bent on proprietary machines designed by H&R that seamlessly produce beautiful complex curves making H&R Sway Bars a perfect fit for your vehicle.

All H&R Sway Bar kits have been shot peened and heat treated, and feature precision forged ends - many applications have multiple end link mounting points for adjustability. Also included are H&R exclusive bushings made from a Urethane / Teflon composite that eliminates squeaks, and don't require lubrication. Ever. That means no mess, no maintenance-just bolt in H&R Sway Bars and go!

Like all H&R components, H&R Sway Bars are 100% made in Germany, and are powder coated for long lasting good looks and durability on the street and track."

When setting out to design our SwayBarbarian, we looked at some important criteria which others had not addressed. There is the issue of stiffness characteristics which were achieved, but to set the system apart from others, we have incorporated some unique features found only on the SwayBarbarian.
Attention to Detail As an example of our attention to detail, the E36 M3 Sway Barbarians is a very unique set of bars. The rear is an asymmetric shape, allowing for a fit unlike any other aftermarket sway bar. Most aftermarket swaybars will usually wind up hitting the exhaust system under full droop situations (when the rear suspension is complete extended such as on a lift). The Sway Barbarian has a unique bend to less this possibility. Was this advanced engineering? Was it rocket science? Was it difficult to design? The answer to all of these questions is no. It's common sense.

Superior Materials Adjustability The SwayBarbarian uses a multi-hole system on the front and rear bars which allows for fine tuning of the bar for whatever desired effect, without sacrificing body roll.

... yes... front and rear bars are included. :alright

oh WTF! just send me the sways anyways! :mad

We need those who are serious about purchasing this on GP to step up.

Being on a list, without coming through to purchase just wastes everyone's time.

Thanks for pulling through randytt :buttrock ... we need your help to get these other members to pull through.

Members who join a list and then don't pull through just piss off those members who do pull through, as we can't afford to hold this inventory at these prices, so everyone will lose if we don't get 10 on this because we'll have to cancel it.

Comon members! this is hands down the BEST deal ever on this product.

Hey guys,

I'll find out the answers to your questions from UUC and post tomorrow regarding the questions about end links, etc.

On shipping prices, you can get an exact quote to your location by clicking on this link:

http://www.koperformance.com/online_ordering/add_to_cart.php?item_id=969

then proceed like you would be checking out... create a KO account and sign in, the last screen will show you your shipping cost to your location.

The Sway Barbarians do NOT require reinforcement plates, however it is recommeneded.

If you chose to go with the the reinforcement plates you will need to have them welded in. They do not bolt on.

Hey Jon,

UUC only makes the gen 2 anymore. These are all being shipped from UUC in NJ directly for us, as most of our customers are in California even though we're based out of South Florida... so unfortunately, we don't have this product at our location so shipping charges would still apply, but the good news is, that is would ship directly to you. (I can however cover your taxes on the order to make it the same price for you, as for everyone else on the GP - you'll just have to call me to place the order.)

Hey guys,

OK... if we can get 2 more to commit (that would make 5 / 10) KO will pick up the rest as stock and we can start shipping these out ASAP.

This would be a special exception to the rule as we really can't afford to keep these in stock, but hopefully some other members will pick these up when they see they're going out the door already.

If doing it one's self front are a snap - bolt on... easy, no modifications...

the rears are trickeir as they require you to remove the wheels in order to replace the rear end links (which are included in the kit) - the end links do not need to be welded (however it is recommended you have reinforcement plates welded up on the rear brackets that hold the sway bar to triangulate them to the subframe, to prevent the brackets from weakening and breaking)...

We offer the TMS reinforcement plates at KO at a discount... (link to be provided soon in this thread)

also, labor charge for a shop to do it is typically 1-2 hours labor.

TMS rear sway bar reinforcement kit:

TMS-BMW-TSU3675001
E36 REAR SWAY BAR MOUNT REINFORCEMENT KIT - $3.00 Shipping (Continental USA). Applications: 1992 - 1999 318/323/325/328/M3 (E36) E36 cars that see a lot of track-use will develop cracks where the swaybar bushing mounts to the subframe. By welding in this reinforcement you can prevent the mount from failing. Requires welding. This will go a long way towards preventing a bothersome repair down the road. These are highly recommended to go with any after market Sway bar kit including the UUC Swaybarbarian or TMS sway bar setup.

email: sales@koperformance.com

that way, I can put it in my que and go down the list... it's a little easier for me than poppin in and out of the forums all the time.

as far as our site... we know its not that deep in some categories, however we carry sooooo many parts you wouldn't believe it. We've got our online catalogue up to 1000 parts now (just use the search at the top of each web page to pull up stuff already available for e-com) and we carry the full lines of AA, TMS, UUC, Eisenmann / Eisenhaus, VF, Victory Product Design and more.

We also carry the entire line of BMW OEM and Genuine parts. If you have a part # you want a quote on, just email it if it's not in our database (from the search) then I'll quote you and add it to the database.

We hope to have about 30k parts online with model selectable catalogue (think bav auto) within another month... so then it'll be much easier, but our developers aren't done with the back-end yet.

Do you need sway bars? H&R has sways for the E90. 27mm front, 20mm rear. Neither are adjustable. Front would be $245, shipped (MSRP $299 + shipping). Rears would be $160, shipped (MSRP $189 + shipping).

Let me know if I can help with H&R stuff. The North American warehouse and HQ for H&R Springs is 2 hours away - I can have some items same day. JPK -- I sent the email concerning the sway bar request per your suggestion and never heard back. I know you are busy but I'm still wondering what you may be able to do pricewise on this.

Hey Z3papa,

Sorry we weren't able to get back to you in a timely fashion. I'm glad you were able to get an order in though.

You would have had a back log through us though as the H&R bars are on national backorder when we called about them working on your inqiury.

Again, sorry we didn't get back to you in a timely fashion, but we're glad you were taken care of even if we weren't the one's to do it.

Don't sweat it. It's all good and hopefully there are two more people who jump on your GB to get this ball rolling.

I ordered a few parts off you several months ago.. While waiting several weeks for the UUC swaybars and VPD pullies I found out I wouldnt be able to use them.. I asked for a refund, and was told I would be able to get one -10%, I was glad to get that and was told a check would be issued and sent to me. That was over 2 months ago. Ive sent several emails inquiring about this situation and have had no response. Could you please update me on what is going to happen with this.

KO,

I'm looking for just an upgraded front swaybar, possibly from the UUC GP? I'd also take a TMS front (preferred), but at this point don't really care which I get. PM me details/pricing etc. if it's possible. Bummed that so many compaines offer sets only and don't offer individual.

For the record, I only want the front as I want to keep my car stock class legal for autocross.

Thanks - Jon
