View Full Version : Anyone have 22inch wheels
Dave0813 05-09-2006, 01:11 AM First of all, does anyone have 22 inch rims on their 7 series? Second, would that be too much wwheel and will it negatively affect the ride?
Thanks
I'm still looking to buy a 1998 750il

For the E38 - yes, 22s are too much, IMHO.

Its not an SUV.
Green Ox 05-09-2006, 10:56 AM For a 7Series?! :confused
Strahan 05-09-2006, 11:47 AM I'd have to see it, but I think it'd be cool. Of course, I'd use a set of 22s for special occasions, not daily driving heh.
760list 05-09-2006, 12:49 PM 22's are weak...I'm putting the 2inch lift kit on and hookin myself up with a phat set of 25's yo...I rock a 100 inches!
(obvisouly kidding...lol)
DaveClement 05-09-2006, 01:35 PM If a little is good, a lot must be better. NOT!
Maybe you are looking for the wrong type of car???
TransporterE38 05-09-2006, 07:03 PM 20's look the best.
Tranceshark 05-09-2006, 07:09 PM My two cents:
For Racetrack use 18" is the way to go...and I do put down some nice track times on the Nordschleife from now to then
For a nice ride+looks 19" fit nicely...Used that size for the ring, too.
And max usable size is 20"...Tried that for the ring-forget about racing those...For the Autobahn and a nice Boardwalk though-He** yeah!
Here some 20"es!

Those dont even look like 20"s! Amazing.
Dave0813 05-10-2006, 01:54 AM Thanks for the variety of responses. It was just a question. Thanks to those who responded positively

Strahan 05-10-2006, 11:35 AM If the wheel wasn't God awful ugly, I think it'd look pretty sweet. Actually, now that I have a size reference for 22" I'll PS something else on it.. umm.. I like John Goga's Forgeline wheels:

760list 05-10-2006, 11:39 PM why yes there is...
a little off topic but I think it is very fitting to "the shoes" of your car and the car in general...check this out

scorcher 05-13-2006, 09:35 AM I've got 20" Alpinas and AC Schnitzer lowering springs - ride is firm and get a little tramlining but fine on my 70 mile commute.
Reckon anything larger than 20s will need your arches rolling and not be a fun ride.
(can't post images at the moment - sorry)
