Yes, I have another stupid question. I notices that when I turn off my E38 there is a fan that keeps running. It ran for about 15 minutes eariler today. Is that normal. I am assuming it is cooling the engine and radiator. I wanted to make sure this was normal for it to run for several minutes after it is shut off.

Thanks to all.

I have noticed that not only does my car do it, but my Acura used to do it as well. I believe that it is a mechanism to make sure the car cools off.

as long as your battery is ok, u should have no problems... hell even my bike did it... i think its just to keep cooling since once you turn off the engine no oil is circulating through, so the fan helps the engine not over heat

Very normal. A lot of cars do it to ensure that things cool down nicely and whatnot. It is a little trippy especially if you come back from doing something and the fan is still cooling down the motor.

Thank you for the info. I thought it should do that, but just wanted to make sure. The battery is only 2 months old so I should be fine.
