I am selling my Dinan supercharger kit. The kit is for an OBDII E36 M3 and includes everything. Software, fan, fan spacer, injectors, belt, tensioner, mounting hardware, pullies, all piping, air filter, and instructions. The only thing not included is the Dinan check valve system for the cyclone seperator canister which fails often anyway. The kit is a powerdyne based system and puts out 6psi in the current configuration.

I am selling the kit because I am going with a turbo kit.

$2800 shipped Via paypal OBO.

Kit is removed and ready to ship.

Blower was rebuilt by the PO. I put about 5k miles on the kit at most. I am unsure of the exact milage. I know of nothing missing from the kit but the PCV check valve piece.

There is actually no need to replace the valve from Dinan as it would most likley just fail again. Just block off the cyclone seperator and plumb around it, thats the way I did it and it worked fine. You will have to have some clue as to how the crankcase ventalation works but its not a big deal.

Did you ever dyno the car with the kit installed? If not, do you know what the average amount of rwhp this kit puts down?

I have heard that the powerdyne kit is not as reliable in comparison with vortech. Can you share your experience when you had this supercharger on your car. Reliability, sound and performance?

I have had no problems with the kit at all, granted I did not have it for a large amount of time. I bolted it on in a weekend and drove the car with it on there for 6mos. The blower is extremely quiet when compared to a Vortec, but it does make some noise. I am fairly sure at the rpm Dinan designed the kit to turn the blower would be reliable as any other, but as always when you turn it faster it'll die sooner. The rebuild kits for the blower are avaliable on ebay for only $200ish and it looks to be a fairly simple proccess once it needs to be done.

As far as performance, the only mod I had on my car was the supercharger and its related parts and I was able to outrun an LS1 Camaro, from a pretty low roll, stock the car wouldn't have touched the LS1 car. It won't turn the car into a pro-stock dragster but its a more than noticable gain. I am sure with some more mods like a trackpipe, M50 manifold and some more boost the car would move pretty good.

I have 1800 if no one else wants it and you decide to let it go for that.

I have 1800 on hand,If you still have it in a few weeks I could get some more.Let me know how low you can go.

I can get a brand new stage 1 kit for 4200 from eurobahn and a stage 2 used for less than 2000 miles on it for 5600. theres also VF for 4500.Both those use the V2 blower and this kit looks like its 7 years old.

It is the worst supercharger out there and has no upgrade path for more boost.

Uh, you can use pullies for more boost? More than one person on this forum is running 9psi out of this headunit with water injection and making over 300whp. There is also the gear driven Powerdyne headunit that puts out 100cfm more than the V2SQ Vortec blower and has a higher max RPM. There is definatly a path to get more performance from this setup, its just not as common so you can't just copy what everyone else did, but with a little original thought anything is possible.

I had personally planned and looked into going to the gear driven blower and doing a DIY aftercooler setup, but cam across a good deal on a turbo first.
