Z8s did not come with "the book" from the factory. BMW NA produced "the book" just for the American owners; however, in many cases (perhaps as much as 50%) "the book" was not sent at all. I had to hound BMW NA for nearly a year before they finally sent me "my book." The point is, there are a lot of owners without "the book," which is why on eBay they fetch between $750 and $1,000. Of course, "the book" that belongs to a specific car has that car's VIN number stamped on it and a bit of history on the specific car. If you buy just any book, it will have the VIN of whatever car it was "separated" from. |
