well i finally pulled the trigger and bought an '03 M3 the other day! i have about 700 miles left on the free maintenance and have an appointment to get a few things fixed, like my e-brake needs to be tightened, the moon roof shade is tough to move ect... i was woundering if there is anything i should have them check out that is a known problem? i am assuming that all of this is free of charge so it couldn't really hurt. any helpfull info would be great thanks.

your moonroof shade may save you a lot of money by getting it fixed now. There is an updated part for the roof frame which may apply in your case. If so you'll save about $500-$600 in labor alone. Oh, if you're close to your inspection 1 or 2 I would try to get that covered. That would save you a lot of money since the valves will need to be adjusted.
