I missed the registration for the local RMC BMWCCA autox this Sunday, and was kinda bummed until I thought, you know, "I'd rather be driving through the mountains on a beautiful sunday for a couple of hours, sunroof open, S14 wailing at 6,000 rpm and supersprint exhaust bouncing off the canyon walls" than "standing around for 8 hours in the sun to drive balls out for a total of 5-6 minutes".

Anyway, anyone in the Northern Colorado area up for an extended drive on Sunday, May 7? Maybe snap some photos along the way?

I can think of a couple of routes, one that goes north into Wyoming, comes back over Cameron Pass and down the Poudre . . . or if some from Boulder/Longmont wanted to join in, we could cruise south and then back up into Estes Park and then back down into Loveland.

If this doesn't work out for you the BMWCCA has their annual spring drive on the 20th. It will go up north, just barely into Wyoming, and then down through Fraser, Winter Park, and back to I 70 (or you can retrace your route north). More details on their website.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I am coaching my daughter's soccer team and Saturdays are out for car stuff, so I can't make that one either.

I'm up for it - We were thinking of going to Estes from FoCo to get pizza on sunday anyways. We typically go up 34 to devil's gulch and then take that up to estes. Not a long drive, but then there's rist, stove prarie, and poudre if we want to take the longer way back. :)

If you want to head up, shoot me a PM and I'll get a few friends up here together.

Where in Northern CO are you at?

Bummer- my trunk is still in pieces from my stereo install, so no drives for me. Would have been fun. Hopefully, all of the pieces (stereo, exhaust, wheels, electronics, etc) will be installed/operational after the 18th.

And of course, the 20th is out, since I have to work *again* during a BMW event. Denver-Oakland-Denver-Austin.

Now I'm depressed.
