hello! im a new owner of a 99 540i6. i am curious if i can upgrade to the navigation sytem with a newer screen if it wasn't orginally in the car in the first place. how hard of a mod is this to do if even possible?

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the forum, I am looking for a 540 as well, how much did you get your 540 for if you dont mind me asking. Did it came with Navigation already? I am pretty sure you can upgrade to a newer version, cost wise I do not know.

i did navigation e39, nav upgrade, navigation upgrade. all of them showed no results

i got mine for 15.9K it does not have the navigation in it stock

I didn't know you didn't have nav at all, I just thought you wanted the wider screen. The process is very long and drawn out. Searching has been disabled, that's why you can't find anything. PM Dan, he can tell you exactly what you will need for the installation.
