Only 225 US spec 850CSi's were imported to the USA. After 11 years, not all have survived, and others have had serious accidents and then been repaired - both reducing the number of available excellent condition 850CSi's. Pristine unmolested models of the 850CSi will likely remain above $50K for the forseeable future, with even higher values for the very few European specification models that have been imported and federalized by individuals that brought them over. The European version has a much, much higher level of equipment, including four wheel steering, that were left off the US versions for cost reasons. The 850CSi s a BMW Motorsport car, it's very rare, and it's the best looking car ever manufactured by BMW. All-in-all, a winning combination.

I think 850csi's are never going to drop below a certain price level, then they will probably go up again as they become classics. An all-in-all collector's car. But 4 wheel steering on the Euro models? Wow, that's amazing.

for sure, those 850s are AMAZING. my friends dad here in washington has one and it rarely comes out, but when it does its presence is known.
