After plenty of track days and DE's, I'm starting out on my first foray into building a dedicated track car.

I am offered a discount through a friend on Sabelt racing seats --- I have seen their name around many a time, but don't really know much about them.

Is a Sabelt racing seat going to be a good quality seat comparable to a nice Sparco seat?

Or is it really a barely-recognizable off-brand that's not worth my time and money?

I'd appreciate any input!

Thanks!

Go see what feels the best on your butt/back/legs.

Quality of most of the big names are very similar on standard race seats (omp, sabelt, recaro, sparco, momo, etc).

about the brand......

Sabelt has been around a long time....just not big here in US. Only now are they being pushed in US. Good stuff........Ive sat in the seats and tried on the gloves. Fit though is your call......it has nothing to do w/ quality..... all brands vary on cut. Quality appears level w/ Sparco, OMP etc.

hey, dont forget bout my footrest!.....:lol

Up until recently, Sparco harnesses were just rebadged Sabelt harnesses. Quality was just fine. Now Sparco slaps a label on Schroth belts and calls it theirs . . . .

Yep, just like any industry, many things are the exact same, you just pay for the label/brand name.

And now Sparco harness bars are just rebadged Speedware harness bars.
