Anyone else get the letter from BMW re: ignition coils?

I've had a persistant issue with the Service Engine light for more than 8 months and the dealer can't figure it out. Claims it keeps reading 'no fuel' code and tells me to keep the tank full of gas. :confused

Wow have you been going to the same dealer? The ignition coils can only be replaced if you have serious driveability issues like rough idle or with misfire faults.

The "no fuel or low fuel" fault codes have nothing to do with the ignition coils.

If you have been going to the same dealer, then I recommend going to another one.

Actually my car was throwing the low fuel codes before my coils went. Go to the dealer and tell them its the coils and to fix it.

Sweet...

That's what I was looking for. And it his a rough spot for the first time this week. Was sitting at a stop light, car in neutral, and the idle dropped causing the engine to almost stall, then the SES light immediately came on.

Unfortuneately, there is only one BMW dealer in Jax....
