Does anyone know of a good product to clean the cloth lining of the sunroof for an E36? Mine has black streaks from using the sunroof too much. Any advice would be great. Thanks.:redspot

A sticky roller picks up alot of black marks on my headliner but other marks are completely immune. Always my first step though.

Sticky roller to pick up any loose dirt and hair, then woolite:water mix to clean.Regular woolite mixed 1:5 with water in a spray bottle, lightly mist, brush clean then dry with a towel or wet vac.

Careful with the "brushing clean" too; those headliners pill easy. Im really quite afraid to touch mine at all but its dirty as well.

Yeah, i guess that's the price we pay for having a sunroof.

I have the line across my sunroof where it obviously sits when its open and around the corners....This is on a 97. But on my 94 325, same miles, the sunroof liner was PERFECT! I think when you drive with the sunroof vented it creates negative airflow and dust/exhaust gets sucked in. Just a theory.

Hmm, interesting theory. Well i definately use my sunroof almost everytime i drive. It's hard not to use it in SoCal.

i just used the sticky roller, and it actually took off a lot of the black stuff, but i think i'll need a cleaner to get everything off. i spent about a half hour rolling that thing across my sunroof, it got tiring so i stopped. next is to find a cleaner that doesn't smell much.
