Came across a short vid of what I assume is Rukman's TT Stg3 M Coupe.
Enjoy

rukman 04-29-2006, 03:23 AM i forgot i had uploaded that to google :)
that little vid doesn't truly represent how fast the car accelerates...
figure that was at 14psi and an outside temp of low 30's...
i'm a little busy the next few weeks, but i'll try to do another vid at high boost :evil2
Wow, very impressive. :redspot

///MPwr 04-29-2006, 03:39 PM I should apologize to Rukman for posting the vid without his consent. I came across it on Google Video and with Search being down, couldnt check if it had been posted or not. Even though it was already out on Google I should have checked, sorry Rukman.
Now everyone has a new benchmark to aspire to as that little Coupe is a monster!:mad

Hey Rukman, is the RPM twitching that way because of Racelogic? It seems like the needle wants to escape at times (wheel spin) but then gets hit upside the head and gets back in line?
Boris
Z3speed4me 07-05-2006, 11:10 PM yeaaaaa bump for more vids of the stg 3!!!!
MikeHsu 07-05-2006, 11:12 PM with 14 psi, how much power did u have?
PrestoMB 07-06-2006, 08:45 AM Thats a very good point Boris. So does Rukman have racelogic?

Rukman hasn't posted on this forum since 2006, I don't think he's an active member of this board anymore.
GEN3RIC 07-11-2008, 12:29 AM I figured somebody might cross post... :dunno I just really wanna see what TT "Stage 3" can do. GT35R looks to be a nice upgrade.

Z3speed4me 07-12-2008, 04:39 PM well considering back in the day his signature said 514 whp.... i think thats more than acceptable
has anyone ever had nick emulate this setup since then??? It would be interesting to see a price from him, since ruk was the only guy to do this TT "custom" kit
wushucivic 07-12-2008, 08:23 PM just to clear things up the two videos were of two different cars. rukman's mcoupe was at 514whp and blaise's mroadster was at 563whp.

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320494
Yeah, the car is currently being put back together but that is totally different as Blaise is running a T4 Boostlogic manifold and they make a lot of power at much lower boost levels.

I will not be completely copying rukman's setup, but it will be extremely similar when I finish. 17psi, 8.5:1, Nick's tuning, etc. I believe Rukman was running methanol also, but, someone will have to confirm that. The only difference will be that he was running 93 and I'll be on 91. Also, you have to consider that both the M coupe and M roadsters have a nice weight advantage over an E36 M3.

I inquired with Nick about going from Stage 2 to Stage 3, he would definitely do it. I got the details from him on what needs to be done and he can provide the Stage 3 tune, hardware, and what needs to be done on the engine. Also got pricing for tune and hardware...I'm still happy with what Stage 2 has to offer...but always keeping things open for future plans :D

Want to let me in on it? I don't want to bother Nick if you've got details.
slcook54 07-14-2008, 12:22 AM The only hardware changes that are necessary are low compression pistons (rods optional), a larger turbo and new tune. I know Rukman was running larger injectors, but I think I'm going to stick with the 42lb'ers unless they are too close to their max duty cycle. I know Nick made over 500rwhp on them evidenced in a recent thread and I'm not planning on hitting that high a number, so I guess it is dependent on the desired level of boost. All the piping, intercooler, manifold, etc are all perfectly capable for handling stage III power.

I'll have to dig for the details, it's been a while. If I find it I'll send them your way.

Some folks have used the 45 lb injectors and have reach some nice dyno numbers. Nick recommended larger injectors when I asked. I would feel much safer with larger injecters since I don't want them to reach their max duty cycle.

Yeah, when I talked to him previously, he said to get the injectors from him. I think he recommends 65lb injectors that can retain the stock fuel rail.
rukman 07-14-2008, 03:27 AM i may not be a regular on here anymore but i do lurk from time to time....
to clarify some questions that have come up on this thread...
some hardware highlights of the car when video was shot:
cp pistons 8.5:1
arrow rods
m50 intake manifold
gt35r
3.23 rear diff ratio
racelogic traction control
water injection using water only...no methanol...kicks in at around 13psi to reduce intake temps when running higher boost levels...
that little video was done in Feb 2006 shortly after i got the car back from Technique Tuning...if i recall correctly the temps were in the low 30's...i believe i had water injection off....
if you look at that video closely and look at boost reading on the AVC-R which i've gone back and done on my copy which has better resolution...starting at the 28 second mark of the video....
1st gear i get max of 0.35mmHG which is 5psi
2nd gear i get max of 0.90mmHG which is 13psi
3rd gear i get max of 1.00mmHG which is 14.2psi
at that time car was putting around 410-420rwhp at 14lbs...
so...at higher boost levels...needle moves faster :evil2
no...i don't have any new videos :(
by the way...since that video car has only two changes....2.93 rear diff and last summer...changed the manifold to a 666 tubular manifold....460 at 15psi...535 at 19psi...that is with water injection off...
Z3speed4me 07-14-2008, 01:41 PM Wow.... the ghost himself speaks!
nice choice with the manifold, and interesting that the only change you have had is the def and mani, and now you are pushing more at 19lbs than you did before at 20

hah, indeed they do. Except I can spot a bunch of differences.. he has new-styled thin side-indicators. I have amber lenses. My door handles are painted estoril -- and I think I see an A-Pillar gauge pod which makes his 100x better than mine. :astromile

i don't have a gauge pod, well i do have on but i still haven't installed it, so right now it just sits there on the dash wegded in there...real GHETTO :lol3
oh and i've played this game in my head before :stickoutt, the differences are the side markers, amber rear lenses, front lip, baller CCWs, front corner lenses? (i have smoke ones now, not sure if yours are still smoked or clear), and possibly the exhaust. i have a stromung, what are you running?

I have full amber lenses all around now and a Max Velocity GTR lip, M5 trunk lip-spoiler. Exhaust is B&B Tri-flo. Suspension is H&R Race springs with Koni S/A and a set of brembo slotted rotors. 35% tint. :tongue
However, identical to the average bear.

I didn't say identical twins; the resemblance may be more akin to fraternal twins. This comparison reminds me of the movie by the same name. Now we just have to figure out whose car would be Arnold and whose would be Danny. :shifty
