The sound is a little deeper and only a little louder... at least from inside the car. My wife didn't even notice a difference. It's not like adding an exhaust, so don't expect a very noticable increase in volume. The exhaust note is just a little deeper, more like a 4.8, which I think has a deeper tone to it. It's so subtle I wonder why BMW even put a resonator in.

I had it done at Mesa Muffler in Costa Mesa for $200 out the door including the X-pipe. This is a worth while mod if you just want a little deeper tone, but almost no increase in sound from inside

Can you get a sound clip..I might be looking to get a X5 4.4 or 4.6 and trying to hear some different clips of X5s with exhaust, but having a hard time finding them.
