Probably a stupid question, but does anyone know much about a good way of getting into track racing in the north of Alberta, CA? I'm stuck way north of civilization and i wish i could get into some racing of some sort that isn't ice racing but it seems pretty limited aside from Calgary. Anyone have anything to say about this? Advice, suggestions, etc?

If you are really far from civilization, just take your car and rally by yourself on the streets!:buttrock :D

Have you tried posting in the Canada Regional forum?

I know there are some club racers from Canada. One member is Rollie (?). You could try contacting him by PM or e-mail.

Yeh Jay - that's me...;) there are a number of us w/ the BMWCCA&CC CR that race with the CCA. There's also a large and thriving Touring Car Championship in Ontario (w/ CASC) & QC with the FAQ series(talk to Mssr. Bilodeau on this forum more about that), but nothing much as far as I've ever read and am aware of out the west end of the country(AB & BC) apart from some regional stock car racing. :(

Cool, thanks for the info guys. Looks like i'm stuck with very few options, at least for awhile until i move elsewhere. Oh well. I'll just have to keep my eyes and ears peeled for something cool.

Call John Dimoff over at Raven performance. I think they are in toronto. Those guys travel all over the place to race. They might be able to help ya out.

What part of AB? Far enough north, and you can just head to the forest roads, and race the logging trucks. Just get a good radio and you should be good to go, right? Otherwise, I'd imagine you're SOL anywhere north of edmonton.
