I personally like painted moldings better, but they're a pain. It costs a fortune to have the painted/repainted, and they never seem to get done right. I'm just tired of the hassle.

I think I can speak for most when I say motorsport moldings should be included instead of the M3 since many/all of us buying do not have an M3 nor do we want to pose as one

It includes the molding clips (which is the only mounting hardware used). The only thing that it does not include is the "Fuse" clips that are used to hold the side emblem onto your moldings. You can get a set of 4 at the dealer for about $1.25 (or less, as my local dealerships - BMW Seattle and BMW Bellevue - are probably the most expensive in the country!). They are part number 51 13 2 251 639.

In the future I will try to include these so you don't have to go to the dealership. In fact, by the time the coupe moldings are ready I will probably have a bulk of these in stock. :thumbup:

You know, I'll have to look into that. I have E36 M-Technic bumpers which of course have the moldings, but I don't know if they will send me the moldings separately. I will ask and let you know.

Can you see if it's possible to get the sides that say BMW M-technic
like in my avatar. That's what I have on my car now, but I would like to have new everything.

You know I'll have to look into that. There is a Dyno Day coming up this weekend, and I know at least one 95 M3 will be there and several other E36 M3s will be there. It's a BMW CCA Dyno Day so there will be a LOT of cars! I'll compare mine to theirs and I'll be able to give you a better idea. Mine are very smooth, but they are textured too so I don't know if that means they are textured or smooth! I'll be at the dealership tomorrow morning also so if I remember I may just ask the parts guy to grab me one 'smooth' one and one 'textured' one so I can compare. I'll let you know.

And yes that will probably mean that the clips will be included by the time I have the coupe ones available to me. :thumbup:

Interesting, I know that my ugly factory door moldings are smooth (not sure why they used those anyway since they match nothing else on the car??), but the moldings on my bumpers have a texture to them....I'd like to match those as close as possible, but I don't want a M3 badge on them either.

yeah my skinny little side moldings are smooth but the others are textured also.. well, except for my license plate delete piece, I accidently got the smooth one.. :( :mad

No, unfortunately I couldn't make it to the event. Others have reported to me that they are the smooth type however. They are still textured though, and you really can't tell the difference walking around the car.

My current supplier will not offer them, so I've been putting in inquiries to find them. As far as I know they were not made that much (primarily in Europe; only one year in the US and only on 150 E36s).

I can get them right now for $50, but that means I've have to charge my customers who wanted them due to the increased cost.

Not on time, I will get an ETA update tomorrow or Monday at the latest. However....

I now have two more options for side molding badges!! You have your choice of the M3, or LTW (BMW Motorsport INTL)....and now you can also get either AC Schnitzer or ALPINA!!! Here is an example of both:

The CF mirrors will not make it to production. Worldwide CF shortage and lack of demand for the parts killed the deal before it could even be conceived. I am pretty bummed about it, but that's what it is for now.

GUYS! Sorry for the mis-understanding but I don't sell JUST front moldings. They come with the M3 bumpers that I normally sell. I happened to have an M3 bumper that was damaged in shipment, but the moldings were fine so flipflap and I discussed those because he was replacing his stock ones. Other than that I do not normally have just those front moldings.

Sorry for any confusion about that subject.

I can however inquire to my supplier about the possibility of just the moldings. If anyone is in need, they would fit an M3/M-Technic bumper ONLY. Right now I can get M3; BMW Motorsport International; ALPINA; & AC Schnitzer. I include any of those for that price. I can GET the other ones from the BMW dealer, but they have to bring them in from Deutschland and they would be $60 more for the pair.

Okay, I was trying to figure out an equitable way to use this 'list' that has built up. A list does not have any meaning if there are no guidelines for it, right? I mean, I could say "everyone on this list qualifies for a discount" but then people could come up to me 6 months down the road and say "hey I was on that list... ". I don't think it would be fair to my other customers for me to have to spend my time tracking down logistical nightmares like this... SO....

This is how we are going to run it. I will offer the introductary GB price of $135 for these moldings to anybody who sends their payment in before August 31st (8/31/06). These are being shipped to me the last week of August, so I will be shipping them back out the first week of September. As an incentive to qualify for the additional $10 discount, I will take payments as a pre-sale for the discounted price of $135. After 8/31 the GB will continue at $145 through September.

So, to re-cap I will start accepting payments for these NOW through 8/31 for the pre-sale price of $135!! After that the price will continue at the normal GB price of $145. After the GB you can get these on our site at $160 plus shipping. :thumbup:

They are smooth, like the 95 M3 ones. You are paying $135 shipped, correct. This is a pre-payment.. I am getting the first batch in next week and anybody who makes the pre-payment by the end of the month qualifies for that discount. I'll probably be able to ship 10-15 per day. :thumbup: These will still be available for GB, but they will be at the same price as the sedan at $145 shipped after 8/31.

There is barely a difference. I don't think they 'feel' any different, and I don't have pics. I do have pics of the ones I am offering though.
